Our staff understand their responsibilities as support workers

Our staff understand the importance of enabling and supporting people to live their lives as independently as they can. Our staff are confident working in different settings, wether that being people’s own homes, care homes or supported living services.

They have been chosen for their caring manner, communication skills and ability to adapt and act according to situations. Achieving their mandatory training and  the knowledge criteria of  the Support Worker (Care Certificate) Standards.

  • Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
  • Providing emotional support for an individual and their families.
  • Supporting and helping with health care needs, including routine checks or administrating medication.
  • Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
  • Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.

Our recruitment process

Our Support workers are selected on their abilities, multiple skills, communication and interest in helping others regardless of their condition. We look for people with a high level of patience and emotional resilience, who have the ability to build good positive relationships with the people they care for and their families.

 Every applicant must submit two completed references by senior staff members and previous employers. There are also enhanced DBS checks and qualification checks. We do this to ensure our support workers are capable to deal with any challenging situations and have the ability to adapt, solve problems and act accordingly.
